Noel Ann EnglishDirector of MU Equity
Noel English is the Director of MU Equity for the Chancellor's Diversity Initiative. The MU Equity Office provides campus-wide leadership, coordination, and assistance on matters of equity and compliance. Noel has been named the campus Title IX coordinator and serves as the Teaching and Research EEO/AA Officer. She primarily provides technical advice, investigates complaints, and counsels faculty, staff, and students on how to address issues of harassment and discrimination. Noel holds a J.D. from Northwestern University, but nevertheless believes that a strictly legalistic approach is not necessarily the best way to help people who seek assistance. She remains optimistic that at an institution of higher learning people can learn to listen to one another. |
