Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues
- With the support of the Chancellor’s Diversity Initiative, a new LGBTQ faculty and staff association was organized
with approximately 45 founding members.
- In 2010, Summer Welcome leaders took part in safe space training in addition to the several hours of diversity-specific training that they already complete. Student staff members in the residence halls also receive safe space training.
- The LGBTQ Resource Center sponsors the TransAction Team, a new group that works toward inclusion and equity for transgender individuals at MU through education, advocacy and policy.
