MIZZOUDIVERSITY ANNOUNCEMENT

Rosh Hashanah, Jewish Holiday, Sept. 16-18, 2012

The Jewish holiday of Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on Sunday, September 16th and concludes at sundown on Tuesday, September 18th. Rosh Hashanah marks the start of the Jewish New Year as a day of rest and celebration with prayer in synagogue and festive meals.

Please remember to accommodate our campus community. Avoid scheduling important academic deadlines, events and activities on these dates as they are considered a work holiday to many. Remember to provide food accommodations as requested. Kosher prohibitions include pork, shellfish, and mixing of any meat with dairy (fish is not considered meat).

    9:30 a.m. Services at Hillel
    6:45 p.m. Yizkor (Memorial Service)
    7:30 p.m. Afternoon Service Break Fast at Sun Down
