Sexually Transmitted Infection (STI) Testing

April 18, 2012 at 11:00 AM to April 18, 2012 at 3:00 PM
MU Campus—MU Student Center, 2205 A&B

Description

Sexual Health Advocate Peer Education (SHAPE) is partnering with the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) and the Kaiser Family Foundation. to promote this Get Yourself Tested Campaign during the entire month of April. Chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV tests will be available while supplies last. The STI testing is free and sponsored by RAIN of Central Missouri.   Research:  To evaluate the success of this campaign, SHAPE will be collecting process and outcome evaluations on the number of tests provided during this month. Student volunteers will staff a table in the Student Health Center's elevator lobby to collect programmatic evaluation data from students as they exit the building. Students will be asked to complete a five-minute paper survey. Also, the number of STI tests will be accessed through the Student Health Center and at the testing events on campus. Last year the overall testing numbers improved by 45 percent across all testing facilities.

Information about all events are on the website, and testing locations can be found with {S}Health's mobile app.  Please let students know about MIZ GYT!
