Cultural Competency and Leadership Development Programexternal link—A program of the Chancellor's Diversity Initiative, this program delivers customized professional development sessions, workshops and coaching for faculty, staff and students to become culturally-competent leaders. Difficult Dialogues Faculty Development Programexternal link—This program helps faculty learn and practice classroom techniques in conflict resolution and deliberation; encourage cross-cultural empathy through interactive theatre; and gain awareness of diversity issues in higher education related to race, gender, sexual orientation and religious literacy.

Diversity, Difference and Conflictexternal link—Workplaces are filled with all kinds of diversity...differing beliefs, values, communication styles, work styles, and personalities. No matter who you work with, occasional conflicts are inevitable. So, the question becomes, does "difference" make a difference when you are faced with conflict in the workplace? And more importantly, how does our approach to conflict impact these relationships? Explore these questions and more through a free 20-30 minute online training, "Diversity, Difference, and Conflict: Awareness and Skills Building for Enhancing Workplace Effectiveness."

Equity and Hiring Training and Consultationexternal link—The MU Equity Office offers customized training and consultation on effective strategies and best practices for faculty search committees as well as training on equity issues such as sexual harassment and hostile workplace. Diversity Peer Educators—Diversity Peer Educators offer cultural sensitivity education and training to cultivate a greater sense of respect and understanding of culture. This program challenges students to look at cultural assumptions, stereotyping, and the different "isms" everyone faces, with a critical eye. The Green DotGreen Dot Trainingexternal link—The Green Dot program promotes safety for everyone and communicates utter intolerance for rape, domestic violence, child abuse and stalking. Safe Space Trainingexternal link—Participants in the training learn about the challenges of homophobia, campus resources, and how to be supportive to members of the LGBTQ community. At the conclusion of the training, participants have the option to display a Safe Space symbol as a signal to LGBTQ individuals that they maintain a safe and affirming environment.

Sexual Harassment Prevention Trainingexternal link—This online training program educates faculty and staff about the sensitive and often-misunderstood topic of sexual harassment and its effect on workplace morale and productivity.

Train-the-Trainersexternal link This training workshop is provided by the Multicultural Center and the Diversity Peer Educators to help students, faculty and staff build the skills necessary to lead facilitated discussions on social justice issues. Women's Center Outreach Programexternal link—The Women’s Center offers outreach programs for residence halls, student organizations, sororities and fraternities, departments, classes and community organizations on important topics such as body image and disordered eating; personal growth and awareness; empowerment and self-esteem; gender socialization; women’s history; and feminism.
