MU Unity

In 2004, a conversation began among faculty of color to address issues and challenges occurring in MU classrooms and departments. Faculty indicated that a network be formed to provide suppoprt and strategies for navigating the academic landscape here at the University

MU Unity was created for and by multicultural faculty (including but not inclusive of underrepresented group members of all demographics) to address those needs.

MU Unity created not only a network but also a platform for multicultural faculty to share successful strategies with one another.

Focus on topics for discussions are determined by faculty members, and have inclluded in the past: Tenure and Promotion, Learning the Ropes of your Department, Classroom Dynamics, and Teaching Evaluations.
