Everyone in higher education has a role to play. All colleagues are invited to Meeting the Diversity Demans & Cultural Practices in Higher Education with Dr. Christine Sleeter. Our Visiting Scholar crafted and implemented the Master of Arts in Education program at California State University, Monterey Bay. The program was designed to create a more inclusive teaching and learning community. Dr. Sleeter will share how she deployed practices that include culturally responsive pedagogy and curriculum transformation in higher education.

Dr. Sleeter’s research focuses on anti-racist multicultural education, ethnic studies and teacher education. Author of “The Inheritance,” Dr. Sleeter will share her journey into her own critical family history and discuss the repatriation of land to indigenous peoples.
