
The goals of these lessons include promoting self-care, experiencing African culture, fostering community, exploring creativity and promoting diversity and inclusion. They are kid-friendly and open to all students, staff, faculty, spouses and members of the community.
Jessica Osaze, Mizzou 2 president and a MSW ’20 student, is the host. Lily Ikoh, Mizzou 2 vice president and mathematics ’20 student, will co-host. Jesutofunmi Omawumi is the dance/drama instructor. He is a certified African dance instructor, journalist, pianist, singer, writer, poet and radio host on KOPN 89.5, who is a PhD student in English (African Diaspora Studies) ’23.
