Join us for a fun hands-on way to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics). Participants will be working on real engineering design problems. In the past, students have worked on projects like building a structurally sound bridge, developing coating for pills, understanding features of buoyancy and static electricity, creating towers, and more.
Sessions will be led by the Office of Diversity and Outreach at the College of Engineering; the Division of Inclusion, Diversity & Equity; and the College of Education. Enthusiastic MU Engineering and Education Student Facilitators will also help carry out activities with the children. Snacks will be provided for the participants.
STEM Cubs prioritizes accepting students attending Title 1 schools to provide opportunity for STEM exposure. Please note that students must be at least 5 years old to participate in STEM Cubs.
The application deadline is Sept. 10, and you will be notified via email if your application was selected by Sept. 13.
