“The Power and Promise of Women”

Join us at Missouri Theatre from 6-9 p.m. Friday, March 8, for Africa Fest 2019!

Our third annual celebration of African Cultures will feature female performers and speakers representing Africa and all facets of the African diaspora. Join us for singing, drumming, dancing, African art and more!

  • Art exhibit: Raqib Bashorun
  • Performing Artists: Ayodele Drum and Dance, The New Dawn Glorious Choir, Symonne SPARKS, Made in Africa, Aina Cooke
  • Speakers: Judith Mutamba, Dr. Tola Pearce, Gloria Magoni

Co-hosts this year are Jabberwocky Studios and the Mizzou African Graduate Student and Professional Association. The event is free with your MU ID, $12 for individual/$20 family for the general public. All ages are welcome. Tickets can be purchased at jabberwockystudios.org.
