Laura Hacquard:

Laura Hacquard is the Associate Director of the Department of Social Justice.  In that role, she works with the five Social Justice Centers:  Gaines/Oldham Black Culture Center, LGBTQ Resource Center, Multicultural Center, RSVP Center and Women’s Center.

Hacquard assists in coordinating the Citizenship@Mizzou program and serves as co-chair of MU’s Food Insecurity Task Force. She serves on numerous campus committees and work groups in the interest of supporting students and promoting student success.

Hacquard came to MU 37 years ago as the Coordinator of the Women’s Center, after teaching in the public schools in Rolla, MO for a number of years.  She holds a BA in Education, English and Psychology from Centre College of Kentucky, and an MEd in Counseling and Personnel Services from MU.

How long have you been at the university?
I have been in my current position for approximately two years. I have been at Mizzou for 35 years. I came here as the Women’s Center Coordinator.
