Nationally renowned mental health advocate and the author of “I Have Anxiety (So What?)” Wes Woodson will deliver the keynote address for Disability Culture Month. Woodson looks to empower students to take ownership of their mental health and begin the journey to love themselves unapologetically.

Mizzou Disability Coalition is hosting our annual Student Accessibility Walk! During our walk we will highlight the steps and changes Mizzou has made around campus to promote accessibility as well as inform others on how to be an ally and inclusive to the Disabled Community. We will end the walk with trivia and prizes. This will be a fun and informational event that all students can participate in!

Supporting Students with Autism

Presenters: Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopment
This session will identify common characteristics of college students with autism as well as how to best provide support and address challenges/barriers. Attendees will receive references and resources including working with students on problem solving and goal setting.

State of Accessibility & Lee Henson Access Mizzou Award Ceremony

Each year, representatives from Mizzou’s disability resources highlight various initiatives that have taken place over the last year creating an inclusive and accessible environment for individuals with disabilities. During this event, the winners of the annual Lee Henson Access Mizzou Award will be recognized and honored for their work.
