In April, the University of Missouri joins the United States in celebrating the achievements of Arab Americans for National Arab American Heritage Month (NAAHM). Initiated in 2017 by the Arab American and the Arab America Foundation, this month is a time to recognize and reflect on the impact of the Arab community, its heritage and its culture. In 2022, President Joe Biden acknowledged NAAHM as a national celebration, leading to Congress, the U.S. Department of State and 45 state governors issuing proclamations in its honor.
