Mizzou’s Division of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity participates in Juneteenth parade and community fellowship event in Douglass Park 

Maurice Gipson, vice chancellor for Inclusion, Diversity and Equity, will represent the University of Missouri as a grand marshal in the Columbia Juneteenth parade alongside Ric Ransom, chief executive officer of MU Health Care.

The Division of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity is proud to join the Columbia community for the 2023 COMO Juneteenth Parade and Community Fun and Fellowship event on Saturday, June 17, in Douglass Park.

This event is free and open to the public and will include family fun, food, games, activities, vendors and more!  We are honored to be a part of an event that serves to highlight our wholehearted focus to our community.

  • The parade will begin at 9 a.m. on Broadway and Waugh  
  • Community Fun & Fellowship in Douglass Park will begin at 11:00 a.m.
