The Cambio Center within the Division of Inclusion, Diversity and Equity held its annual conference on June 7-10.

In June, the Cambio Center hosted Cambio de Colores (Change of Colors), a multistate conference focusing on the integration of Latin@s/Latinxs/Hispanics and immigrants in new destinations. This conference provides opportunities for people from various fields who work with Latin@s/Latinx/Hispanics and immigrant communities to share research and best practices that facilitate the integration of newcomers.

Mun Y. Choi, president of the University of Missouri spoke to conference attendees highlighting MU’s mission, as a land-grant university, to serve every Missourian. Choi also emphasized the importance of the partnership between the Cambio Center and MU Extension to reach every community in each of Missouri’s 114 counties.
