A group of black professionals in student affairs from across the country have partnered with BLKSAP to launch our newest book: #BLACKOUT! — Real Issues and Real Solutions to Real Challenges Facing Black Student Affairs Professionals

Donald D. Gilliam, along with his For Brothers colleagues, have co-authored a chapter in the book titled For Brothers: Developmental Struggles of Black Male Graduate Students.

Through an evaluation of all the posts, articles, and comments that were mentioned during the #BLACKOUT experience March 25, 2016, the leadership team behind this project created six specific topics for black professionals within student affairs to share their personal stories, challenges, and solutions to some real challenges that many black student affair professionals face on various campuses and universities across the country.

The goal of this project is that each of these stories will raise awareness about the different challenges faced by black student affairs professionals and provide the inspiration and words of wisdom needed to help people facing similar challenges within their campus community overcome them.
