Calling all scholars!

We are excited to announce that applications are now open for the 2021-22 Men of Color, Honor and Ambition (MOCHA) Program:https://diversity.missouri.edu/program/mocha/!

MOCHA is a one-year initiative open to all MU undergraduates who identify as men between their second and fifth academic years of study, but is specifically designed through the lens of men of color. Students will participate in a series of monthly academic, personal and professional workshops offered by faculty, staff and community and corporate leaders; foster a sense of community and bonding with each other and other men role models of color through social outings; and support their health awareness and development through their participation in wellness activities. Additionally, upon meeting full participation requirement, participants will be rewarded at the end of the year with a custom tailored suit.

To apply, applicants must:

  • Be an undergraduate between the second and fifth academic years of study.
  • Have a GPA of 2.5 (minimum) or above.
  • Make a personal commitment to both program attendance and academic excellence.

In addition, a personal statement and unofficial transcript are required and will be submitted within the online application. The deadline to apply is 12:00pm (noon) on Friday, September 24, 2021

We strongly encourage you to watch the recorded informational zoom meeting that was held on Friday, September 10th from 3:00-4:00 pm. For access to the informational session, e-mail muideaccesslead1@missouri.edu
